Tea Meditation — Returning to Stillness
Balance Health Wellness Centre, Central Hong Kong
Tea meditation is a quiet, contemplative practice that invites us to slow down, return to presence, and reconnect with our inner sage and inner wisdom.
Rooted in the living tradition of tea meditation shared by Global Tea Hut, this session offers a space to sit with tea not as a drink, but as a meditative companion—a way to cultivate awareness, humility, and connection with nature and with the sacred.
What Is Tea Meditation?
Tea meditation is not a tea tasting, a class, or a performance.
It is a shared sitting practice where tea is prepared and served mindfully, allowing each participant to:
- Slow the breath
- Soften the nervous system
- Rest attention in the present moment
- Experience quiet connection—with self, others, and nature
What to Expect
During this 60-minute session, you will be guided into a calm, grounded space through:
- A brief arrival and settling
- Silent and lightly guided tea meditation
- Mindful tea drinking in stillness
- A closing moment of integration
No prior experience with meditation or tea practice is needed.
Why Tea?
Tea has long been used across cultures as a bridge between:
- Nature and human
- Stillness and daily life
- Simplicity and depth
In this practice, tea supports us in remembering how to be, rather than learning something new.

This session is especially supportive if you:
- Feel mentally busy, overstimulated, or stressed
- Experience mild anxiety or restlessness
