About TaiJi Energetics
The connection between TaiJi and energy is intrinsic. TaiJi or TaiChi however is synonymous with the martial art TaiJi-Quan (Taijiquan). While Taijiquan is a great representation of the TaiJi philosophy in motion, and a powerful and inspiring representation of it’s principles and dynamics, it is not TaiJi. Our clinical practitioner Richard Wickes' teacher Prof. Lu Jin Chuan taught TaiJi but never TaiJiQuan. His teaching program was called TaiJi Qi Dao or the Way of TaiJi’s Energy. It focused on teaching energy and TaiJi philosophy. He taught Taiji energy healing, TaiJi acupuncture, a TaiJi practice which transcends meditation. His teachings touched many people and were truly life-changing for Wickes.

TaiJi as Energy Work
My decision to name and rename the methods Richard Wickes developed under the name TaiJi Energetics comes from a desire to honour Professor Li Jin Chuan teachings and their profound impact on my life and on the lives of many. The methods Wickes developed and taught internationally are based on the wisdom he imparted to Richard, and so he calla them TaiJi Methods. This includes the methods under the name Wickes Way, Emotional Grammar, Energy Strengthening Program, TaiJi Touch and TaiJi flow.
There are countless methods and approaches to Energy Work, Self-development and Self-Realization. This is Richard Wickes approach and he offers it for the benefit of all. He has it detailed in his work Dao’s DNA – A Sourcebook for Energy Work.
