Singing Bowl Healing
About Singing Bowl Healing
Our body is mostly made of fluids and we know how water reacts in patterns to a vibration. Water is life. Fluids have a close relationship to our nervous system’s health on a cellular level.
Just like water links and transforms vital elements in our being, vibration seems to be able to both smoothen and boost one’s journey to wellness.
During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of beta. Sound tools entrain the brain to move into the deeper alpha and theta brain wave frequencies. These are the frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition. Modern medicine can now measure and thus confirm the practice of sound as a means to promote energy healing. Thus, sound is a type of energy medicine that creates the sacred space in which people can heal from stress disorders, pain, depression, insomnia, the emotional roller coaster and more. Ancient instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls are ‘struck and sung’ in specific rhythmic patterns to create vibrational sound harmonics at the frequency of “AUM” or “OM”. This sound frequency known as that of perfection impacts the sympathetic nervous system as your brain waves synchronize to the vibrations of the bowls. The harmonic vibrations engage the relaxation reflex and slow down the respiratory, brain and heart rate and disrupt the pain reflex creating a deep sense of wellbeing.

What to Expect
After a holistic health assessment, Tibetan singing bowls are placed on different parts of the body while being chimed. Other bowls might also be used surrounding the body to create varying notes and vibrations. Clients are resting on a futon mat during the session. Mona combines the Singing bowls with her experience in Traditional Oriental medicine and massages.
The vibrations, like acupuncture needles, are amazingly efficient to help vital energy flow freely. In the same way, massage strokes and pressures are helping the vibration, and mind of the recipient to connect deeply. It is a good synergy and people disconnect from their worries and experience the present moment.
Results can vary from a deep sense of relaxation, to relief from physical and/or emotional pain, a sensation of lightness as the body lets go of past emotional and physical issues.
