Acupuncture has been used as a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for many years. It is especially effective for the relief of acute or chronic pain and prevention or treatment of various diseases
Acupuncture involves the painless insertion of ultra-thin single use needles into specific points on the body called acupoints, to “re-balance” the flow of the body’s energy. Your body’s energy, commonly known as ‘Chi’, should flow freely and unobstructed. If there are blockages in this flow, illness may arise. By re-establishing good energy flow, the body can begin to heal itself and restore health.
Balance Health’s registered traditional Chinese medicine doctors have a great expertise and knowledge in acupuncture. They have supported so many patients achieving health and well-being by providing sessions at our acupuncture Hong Kong clinic.

What to Expect?
Your first visit for a Balance Health acupuncture Hong Kong session will begin with an in-depth assessment of your condition and an initial treatment. It involves a gentle needling technique clients may feel almost nothing or a small pinch which disappears in a moment. Clients have different levels of sensitivity and the practitioner works closely with them to maintain comfort and a positive experience. The acupuncturist may also incorporate other modalities in one treatment session to ensure the correct effect is achieved and normalize the function of the body’s systems. During the session clients may choose to sleep, meditate or relax by listening to music.
The most common client concerns that we encounter are pain related conditions. For example; arthritis, back, neck, knee and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica.
