Life presented an opportunity to make a change from medicine
Liz is from Australia and the UK and is owner and founder of “A Mother’s Touch” providing an unbiased natural approach and personalised service to clients during this special moment of a couple's life. Following a 20-year career as a Registered Nurse, much of which was been spent in the obstetric operating theatre and critical care area and also 13 years as a Product Specialist Consultant for several world leading Pharmaceutical companies, life presented an opportunity to make a change from medicine. Her interest in natural therapies began at an early stage of her life, due to an avant-garde mother, who embraced alternative therapies as early as the 1960’s. Along with her interest in natural health and her medical education, she is also a mother of 3 daughters and has 2 grandchildren.
Liz is always looking for new ways to support parents.
After extensive study, Liz qualified as a Reflexologist and Massage therapist in the UK. She took this further and updated her skills in, both areas acquiring additional diplomas, APNT in Advanced Pregnancy Bodywork which includes some shiatsu-based skills and specialist certificates in Hand, Spinal, and Pregnancy Reflexology. To enhance her maternity skills, she has trained as a Childbirth Educator and Birth Coach/Doula. Liz is continually updating her skills, and is always looking for new ways to support parents through pregnancy, birth and adjusting to their new life as a family! Five years ago Liz brought Placenta Encapsulation to Hong Kong, so that mothers can benefit from this wonderful legacy. This has grown support and service has grown immensely over the years and all through word of mouth. Her interests really lie in helping Mums take back their gift of birthing to be a memorable for all the right reasons, so that we as women can nurture the birth of the next generation of humans the way nature intended. She is always trying to be innovative, looking for ways to make learning about birth easier to understand and participate in, and is continually developing programs that have been research to provide benefit. She is currently studying "Bringing Baby Home", through the world known Gottman Relationship Institute to give additional aid to parents in the transition from couple to family. Liz is keen to use this knowledge to benefit others. Not only in Hong Kong but through Asia and Australia. It is important that parents and parent’s-to-be feel confident and secure in the training and reputation of their therapist. With this in mind Liz and her professionally qualified associates, bring a complete package for Parents and Baby through “A Mother’s Touch.”

Reflexology
Reflexology is the study of the reflexes of the feet, corresponding to every part of the body. Working on these reflexes eases tension and helps the body find its own equilibrium. If any area of the body deserves your best attention, it is the foot. In the sole of the foot literally thousands of nerve endings are concentrated. The opposite ends of these nerves are located all over the rest of the body. The foot, in effect, is a map of the entire body and no muscle, gland, or organ, whether internal or external, is without a set of nerves whose opposite ends are anchored in the foot.
