What is meditation? Meditation is a simple yet effective practice that has been used for thousands of years to bring peace as well as balance to your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. It quiets the mind and puts the body into a relaxed state by focusing it on a particular object, subject, thought or idea. Meditation cultivates a sense of calmness and inner peace in us.
Meditation is powerful as it can give us better awareness and insights in our life priorities, decisions, plans and even our personal relationships. Cultivating open awareness is one of the goals of meditation. When you are openly aware of the things and happenings around you, you can notice patterns that you do not normally see. Open awareness trains your mind to be more focused and thus, lessening mental chaos and allowing you to better manage stress and anxiety.
Through meditation, you can have a life full of the gift of grace or the sense that love and divinity is being poured into you on a deeper level. It will also enable you to connect with the universe, be more aware of the the flow of life as well as have a glimpse of true spiritual experiences.
